I am still shaking. I was only 5 miles from home. Traffic was a little busy for being in the country. I was going by the golf course not thinking about anything in particular. All of a sudden a truck started to cross over into my lane very slowly! He was halfway into my lane coming right at me! I just barley had time to lay on my horn! My purse went flying and my heart started going triple time! I saw the drivers face, a young man. I don't know if he fell asleep or what. He was about to die! I would have broad sided him and probably involved a few other cars as well! All of a sudden he seemed to realize what was going on and jerked back to his side! I know the other cars were in shock as to what almost happened! I had all I could do not to turn around a ask him wtf he was thinking!
It could have been all over for the both of us in a split second!
My nerves are shot, but very alive :)

ReplyDeleteMary....I don't know how I missed this. I'm so glad you are ok!! And thankfully so is the other driver. Hits a little too close to home today. I just found out that one of Sam's classmate's was killed in an accident yesterday....along with her two passengers. She was on an interstate hwy and hit a construction cone, overcompensated and went headon into the other lane of traffic. It has really shook me up today (especially since it is so close the anniversary of my brother's death). Luv u....mean it!!
